- The Core Strategy is subject to a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) under the provisions of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. This process is designed to ensure that the adopted Core Strategy will promote sustainable development by assessing the impact that its polices are likely to have on the social, environmental and economic development of the area.
